10 Aug Coleraine Claim Two NIPBA Titles
Coleraine claimed two NIPBA titles at the weekend (Saturday 8th August); with Rodney Kane and Victor Dallas first up, they defeated the Limavady pair of Ricky Cochrane and Malcolm Cunningham 20-6, to become the inaugural winners of the Senior Pairs championship.
Rodney then partnered brother Barry in the NIPBA Pairs to defeat the Ballymoney pair of Dean Kane and Nigel Gamble 18-10 to clinch the title and bring it back to Lodge Road for the first time since 2000.
Unfortunately, Davy Kerr lost out to Mark Wilson of Cookstown in the Singles final in a closely contested match; whilst, Will Calvin lost in the final of the U25 Pairs.
In the B Championships, Peter Greer was runner up in the Singles and he then partnered Davy Reilly in the Pairs, as they narrowly lost out in the final to their Cookstown opponents.
